Autodesk AutoCAD 설치 OS 지원 사양

Windows 10의 출시 이후 여전히 Windows 7 위세는-비록 몇 년전만 보다는 못하지만-여전하다. 마이크로소프트를 필두로 관련 업계의 고사 작전에도 불구하고 마치 Windows 7이 Windows XP를 극복하는데 무수한 시간이 소요된 것 마냥 더디게 진행되었다. 물론 결국 시간의 문제이기는 분명하지만 사용자 입장에서는 현재 사용중인 어플리케이션의 지원 여부를 판단하기 오히려 혼란스러운 상황에 놓일 수도 있다. 사실 컴퓨터 시스템 특히 업무용 환경에서는 업그레이드 시기를 놓치면 꽤나 긴 시간 동안 현재 시스템을 유지하는 경향이 크다보니 어느 순간 새로운 컴퓨터 시스템으로 이전하는 상황에서는 사용중인 어플리케이션의 지원되지 않는 황당한 경우를 맞이 하기도 한다.

특히 최근에는 새로운 컴퓨터 시스템으로 업그레이드할 경우 특정 Windows 운영체제에 제한되는 경우도 있기 때문에 이전 세대의 Windows 운영체제에서 구동되는 어플리케이션이 설치되지 못하거나 구동되지 못하기도 한다. 그 대표적인 예가 Autodesk의 AutoCAD라고 할 수 있다. CAD 시스템의 기능적 수준을 떠나 거의 모든 설계 환경에서 운용되다보니 컴퓨터 시스템 업그레이드 상황에서 문제가 되는 경우가 많다. 물론 Creo(Pro/Engineer)나 NX(UGS)와 같은 3D CAD 시스템에서는 그런 문제가 더욱 심각할 수도 있다.

AutoCAD 시스템의 운용 조건에 대한 아래 환경은 Autodesk의 제시한 사양이긴 하지만 특정 버전에 따라 절대적이지는 않다. 즉 설치 요건에서는 Windows 7 이상에서만 설치될 수 있다고 하지만 실제로는 Windows XP에서 직접 설치되거나 혹은 운영 환경에 대한 작은 수정으로 설치되기도 한다. 단 Autodesk의 설치 요건에서 제외된 운영체제에 설치 및 운용은 공식적으로 지원 대상에서 제외된다. 그렇다하더라도 대개 리셀러에서는 최대한 지원을 해주기도 한다.
